Maruyama Shigeki
Born in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1965.
Graduated from Aichi Prefectural Seto Ceramics Technical College in 1989.
Apprenticed under his great-uncle, Shirahata Hoetsu.
In 1991, he began training under his grandfather and began making pottery.
In 2005, he received the Shizuoka Prefecture Education Award at the Shizuoka Prefectural Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
Solo exhibition at the Miyabiden Hall of Oi Shrine in Shimada City.
