Using a unique glaze, the blue hue of the pieces is inspired by the indigo of Lake Biwa.

Born in Karahashicho, Otsu City, in 1946.
Joined a confectionery company in Kyoto in 1968.
Joined Shigaraki ware kiln Original Studio in 1973.
Established Karahashi ware kiln in 1989.
Received the Governor's Award from the Shiga Prefecture Tourist Souvenirs Judging Committee in 1996.
2006 Held a commemorative exhibition at the Shiga Museum of Modern Art, celebrating his 30th anniversary of ceramics.
Held numerous other awards.
